Shirley Merith- A big crime/mystery fiction fan, has just finished reading Linwood Barclay's "Promise Falls Trilogy Series" andis now reading "Red Alert" by James Patterson. Anyone who is a reader of crime fiction knows that these books are always well written, suspenseful and are quick reads.
Paula Smellie-Has just finished reading and enjoyed this Victorian crime drama set in London England in 1869. Its part of "The Monk"series of mystery books from this international best selling author Anne Perry. Paula is now starting to read Charles Dickens "A Tale Of Two Cities." It's never too late to dust off an old classic book, and give it a good read.
Francine Flemming- Now reading "Brother" by David Chariandy. This book was a finalist in CBC's 2019 Canada Reads. It is a beautifully written book that tells the coming of age story of two brothers, the sons of Trinidadian immigrants, and the challenges they face as young men of colour growing up in The Park area of Scarborough in the 1980's.
Maria Jemmott- is reading "Severed Knot" a fictitious historical novel by Cryssa Bazos, of Scottish indentured servants sent to Barbados after the British Civil war.
